We have used Richard’s firm for over twenty years.
Firstly working with his father Alan and in recent years Richard. Their work for us includes a double highlight extension, patio’s, garden walls and driveways.
They have recently completed the groundworks and fitting out of our Orangery. The quality of their work, attention to detail and on-site care of our property is outstanding. The firm fitting the Orangery itself observed that the preparation for their part of the installation was exceptional. Our neighbours have seen at first hand the standards that Richard and the team work to and his firm have already carried out some projects for them. I would also highlight that ‘good people know good people’ and the electricians and plumber that they bring in are excellent too.

We were really nervous about choosing a builder for our extension but so happy we went with Richard and the team from Stanford Smith. Their brickwork (which was a lot on this job) is spot on. The extension flows seamlessly into the original house brickwork. They met every challenge my house came up with like uneven floors, moving drains and tree roots. And were great with the extras I had envisaged like shelving built in the walls in the bathroom.
The team are friendly and approachable, turn up when they say they will and tidy up after themselves! Communication is great and they go the extra mile. Richard was clear about pricing and let us know when something had come in under cost which allowed us to get other bits done too. So we also have a raised patio from these guys which was great! I wouldn’t hesitate to have these guys back to do more work for me or recommend them to friends and family

Superb workmanship, turned up on time, worked hard all day, don't think they even took a break. and, most importantly cleared the whole site of rubbish, hosed the area down and bagged every bit of rubbish.
